The Kuala Lumpur Sessions Court has set an 11-day trial for former prime minister Muhyiddin Yassin’s Jana Wibawa case, beginning Sept 17. Judge Azura Alwi scheduled hearings across four months, with the prosecution planning to call 30 witnesses, including Minister Tengku Zafrul Aziz and tycoon Syed Mokhtar Al-Bukhary. Muhyiddin’s lawyer, Chetan Jethwani, urged early access to key witness statements, citing fairness. The prosecution agreed to staggered disclosures. Azura also granted Muhyiddin temporary passport release for a Belgium conference. The next case management is set for May 14.
