In a court session today, a woman, Nooraini Remali, aged 35, acknowledged the accusation of fatally harming her 65-year-old business partner’s associate. The alleged crime occurred near the Telekom Malaysia guard post in Batu 23 Kuala Berang, Hulu Terengganu, between 3:20 a.m. and 4 a.m. on November 1.

She faces a charge under Section 302 of the Penal Code, which stipulates the death penalty upon conviction. Although Nooraini did not enter a plea, the court scheduled a January 15 hearing for further proceedings, pending the chemical report.
Deputy Public Prosecutor Muhammad Akmal Mohd Jazlee handled the prosecution, while the accused was represented by lawyer Abdul Hayyi Salim.
