COVID-19 vaccinations compulsory for gov’t employees

1 min read

In a statement issued last Thursday, the Public Service Department said vaccinations would be made compulsory for federal staff in order to boost public confidence and ensure government services can be delivered smoothly.

The statement says exceptions are only to be allowed on health grounds.

There were talks in Malaysia of actions to be taken against civil servants who refuse to be vaccinated against Covid-19 and those proposing it said it is not for punishment, but to raise awareness of the importance of the vaccine in bringing the country out of the pandemic.
