The United Kingdom will impose the need for people to prove they have a COVID passport to enter crowded places. This means only those who can prove they are vaccinated will be allowed in such venues.
This will be the case to enter nightclubs – and possibly sports matches and the pub.
This is how PM Boris Johnson is ordering young Britons to get jabbed or miss out on “life’s pleasures”.
The UK has 3 million under-30s who have so far refused to get a jab. The formula will, the authorities believe, force them to do so.
The enforcement will start from the end of September when nightclubs will bar entry to unvaccinated customers.
“I certainly don’t want to see passports for pubs,” the prime minister says, adding: “We reserve the right to do what’s necessary to protect the public.”
“Some of life’s most important pleasures and opportunities are likely to be increasingly dependent on vaccination.”
