LIVERPOOL, Oct 6 — Crystal Palace’s 19-game unbeaten run came to an agonising end with a 2-1 defeat to Everton on Sunday. Despite dominating much of the match, Palace failed to capitalise on numerous chances before Jack Grealish scored a 93rd-minute winner — his first goal for Everton. Manager Oliver Glasner expressed deep frustration, saying his team’s lack of efficiency in attack cost them the game.

Palace, unbeaten since April, looked fatigued after their midweek European fixture. Everton’s victory continued their dominance over Palace, who have managed just one win in their last 22 Premier League meetings. Glasner said the loss could serve as a lesson for his side’s next development phase. — Reuters
