PETALING JAYA – DAP Youth has voiced disagreement with a police report lodged by its Kepong division urging action against the individual who leaked Judicial Appointments Commission (JAC) meeting minutes. National publicity secretary Ho Chi Yang said such reports could be perceived as attempts to suppress public scrutiny amid concerns over judicial integrity. Kepong DAP Youth chief Jefferson Chia filed the report, supported by Kepong MP Lim Lip Eng, warning of dangerous precedents if leaks go unpunished. Inspector-General of Police Khalid Ismail confirmed investigations under the Official Secrets Act and other laws. Ho urged transparency to restore public confidence in the judiciary.
