Experts have spoken and while some are defending the Man Utd keeper Davi De Gea, a veteran says he was wrong. He saw the ball late when City’s Gundogan strike the second goal.
Getting a Hand on it
Gundogan did not strike the ball cleanly and it was spinning when it evaded players in the box and flew past De Gea despite the Spaniard getting a hand on it.
De Gea Misjudged
‘I look at where he is in the goal… If I put myself in there I would be thinking ‘okay, I have to right in the middle of this triangle’ – he gets a full hand to it! He’s a little bit too deep… he should move toward where the ball is.’
For the first goal, De Gea looked surprised to see it go in.
