Authorities are investigating the death of a University of Malaya student who fell from a campus hostel building. Higher Education Minister Dr Zambry Abd Kadir confirmed the investigation and said immediate assistance will be provided to the victim’s family. The student died while receiving treatment at University of Malaya Medical Centre.

Zambry expressed condolences and urged restraint pending official findings. University officials said they are fully cooperating with police and requested the public to respect the family’s privacy and avoid speculation. The Student Affairs Department is extending support to the grieving family.
