An unidentified assailant was killed after ramming his pickup truck into Temple Israel synagogue in West Bloomfield, Detroit, sparking a blaze and triggering a massive police response. Oakland County Sheriff Michael Bouchard said security guards opened fire after the attacker smashed through the synagogue doors and drove down a hallway.
