The Court of Appeal today upheld a lower court’s decision to strike out a defamation suit by developer Wawasan Rajawali Sdn Bhd against 122 buyers over posts they made against them on two social media platforms.
A three-member panel led by appellate judge Mohamad Zabidin Mohd Diah affirmed an earlier decision by the High Court in Kuala Lumpur favouring the buyers, FMT says.
The developer had sued the 122 buyers over alleged defamatory statements against them on Facebook and Instagram, contending that the posts referred to them by way of innuendo.
