Dior’s fall women’s catwalk show showcased Maria Grazia Chiuri’s take on familiar 1950s silhouettes, paired with a modern twist. The set, embellished with hand-sewn crochet work, fringes, sequins, and feathers, was described by artist Joana Vasconcelos as “a magical garden like another world, another dimension.”

Moody organ music and a sombre color palette added to the emotional undertones of the collection, which drew inspiration from Christian Dior’s sister Catherine and French singers Edith Piaf and Juliette Greco, who were rebuilding their lives following World War II. K-pop singer Jisoo and actress Charlize Theron were among the celebrities in attendance.
