A 52-year-old man died in a fatal accident at around 6:40 am on Sep. 17. and an 86-year-old driver of a vehicle that is involved in the accident was arrested in Singapore.
Police say they were alerted to a fatal accident involving a 52-year-old male pedestrian and a car at the junction of Aljunied Road and Sims Avenue. The accident drew a crowd but several police vehicles were also seen.
The pedestrian was found motionless and pronounced dead at the scene by an SCDF paramedic. He was hit by the car while crossing the road. Elderly drivers must be careful. People at crossings, be careful too.
