MALAYSIA — A Singaporean engineer and a police officer were injured after a drunk motorist crashed into them during a roadside enforcement stop in Johor Bahru. The incident occurred at 10.03 pm on January 27 along Jalan Johor Bahru–Air Hitam. Police said the officer had stopped a Toyota Estima when a Honda Civic suddenly entered the bus bay and struck both men.

The Honda Civic driver, a 32-year-old Malaysian IT engineer, was found intoxicated with a blood alcohol level of 154mg per 100ml. Both victims were taken to Hospital Sultanah Aminah. The case is being investigated under Section 44(1)(a)(b) of Malaysia’s Road Transport Act 1987.
