Covert New ‘Dubai Move’: Opposition and Ruling Bloc Engaged in Toppling Government, Confirms Zahid

Ahmad Zahid Hamidi affirmed the ‘Dubai Move’ aimed at toppling the government, involving opposition leaders and select ruling bloc individuals. Intelligence reports flagged their arrival and meeting at the location. 

Dubai move controversy 

Zahid, Umno’s president, disclosed this after a disaster briefing. He declined to name those involved but advised waiting for elections for a potential new government. Ismail Yusop previously highlighted a plan to oust PM Anwar Ibrahim, labeled the ‘Dubai Move.’ 

It emerged during PN leaders’ UAE trip. Supporters were tasked to identify potential defections. Zahid dismissed these efforts as futile, emphasizing national development over political upheaval.
