Court grants bail with one surety
Malaysian Anti-Corruption Commission (MACC) deputy public prosecutor Muaz Ahmad Khairuddin proposed bail of RM100,000 with one surety, citing the substantial amount involved.
Defence lawyer Dhanesh Subramaniam Nair asked for a lower amount, saying his client’s business had been affected by the case and that he had cooperated with investigators.
The court allowed bail of RM80,000 with one local surety and fixed Nov 30 for mention of the case.

Malay Mail reported before the hearing that the CEO had been arrested at the MACC headquarters in Putrajaya at 12pm on Monday (Oct 26), after giving his statement.
MACC chief Datuk Seri Abd Halim Aman confirmed the arrest and said the case was being investigated under Section 420 of the Penal Code, the report added.
