Failed Minister of Arab Country Ambassador and PAS President Abdul Hadi Awang lambasted Malaysians who speak English and who shun Bahasa Melayu saying they have a colonial mentality or slaves.
Such Malaysians, he says, were ashamed to speak their native tongue and gave English a higher priority as he writes in his column in the Harakah, adding, “They are acting like slaves to the past colonial overlords despite having been emancipated from their clutches.”
Hadi claimed that these people were so dedicated to spreading English that they used it for meetings and announcements both on the ground and in the air.
