Europe’s Airports in Turmoil as Over 500 Flights Disrupted

Over 500 flights were delayed or cancelled across major European airports today, as operational bottlenecks, weather aftershocks, and crew shortages caused massive disruptions. London Heathrow, Amsterdam Schiphol, Paris Charles de Gaulle, and Barcelona El Prat were all severely affected.

According to Travel and Tour, Major carriers like KLM, British Airways, Air France, and Emirates are facing widespread delays. Schiphol saw the highest cancellations, while Paris suffered the most delays. Long-haul flights to Asia and North America were hit hardest. 

Airlines cited staff shortages, tight turnaround schedules, and ramp congestion amid surging summer demand. The ripple effect has impacted dozens of global carriers and thousands of passengers.
