Ex-Defence Intelligence Chief Faces Three Corruption Charges

Former Director-General of the Malaysian Defence Intelligence Organization, Razali Alias, has claimed trial to three corruption charges involving bribes for himself and his wife. 

Ex-Defence Intelligence Chief Faces Charges

The first charge alleges he received US$20,000 (RM78,550) from Sheikh Ahmad Nafiq Sheikh A Rahman to approve service procurement for the Cyber Defence Operations Centre (CDOC) between August and November 2024. 

The second and third charges involve two return flight tickets for his wife, Azarina Bakia, to Spain and Estonia worth RM26,800 and RM37,800. The case was heard at the Kuala Lumpur Sessions Court, with potential penalties of up to 20 years’ imprisonment and fines.
