A Malaysian man appears to have been receiving hate mail whilst living in Japan. However, it seems that he is an ex-Malaysian, who allegedly left the country for claiming that they’re “too many Malays” in Malaysia, which in itself is a highly controversial and problematic statement.

Others state if the individual was fully immersed with Japanese culture, he would’ve written his Reddit post in Japanese, or actually be on a Japanese forum. Furthermore, social media users are vehemently unhappy with said individual for his alleged remarks.
Regardless, the comments about ethnicism and racism should not be something that is commonplace, especially in today’s society. At the end of the day, we are all Malaysians, and we should embrace our different cultures.
