Saudi Arabia has banned haj pilgrims from walking from Makkah to Arafah or staying outside their tents during the 1446H/2025 masyair phase due to extreme heat concerns. Pilgrims are also advised to avoid visiting sites like Namirah Mosque and Jabal Rahmah between 10 am and 4 pm to prevent heat-related illnesses.

The Saudi government will boost transport services to facilitate safer movement during this peak pilgrimage period. Strict enforcement of the Nusuk card system will limit access to holy sites.
Malaysian pilgrims have complied well, with no reports of unauthorized haj participants, said Malaysia’s Religious Affairs Minister Datuk Dr Mohd Na’im Mokhtar.
