The Kuala Lumpur High Court has ordered businessman Farhash Wafa Salvador to be awarded RM550,000 in damages in his defamation suit against Bersatu Port Dickson chief Badrul Hisham Shaharin (Chegubard) and YouTuber Nurpais Ismail.

Judicial Commissioner Arziah Apandi ruled that defamatory remarks were made in a podcast published on Nurpais’ YouTube channel in May last year. As both defendants failed to appear, the court proceeded without their defense.
Farhash was granted RM300,000 in general damages, RM100,000 exemplary damages, and RM150,000 aggravated damages, plus 5% annual interest. The court found the statements clearly harmed Farhash’s reputation and were politically motivated.
