Mah Sing Group has donated RM80,000 to Yayasan Raja Zarith Sofiah Negeri Johor to aid students in Batu Pahat who were affected by the recent flood in Johor. The mock cheque handover ceremony was held today and was presented
by Mah Sing’s Chief Executive Officer, Property Subsidiaries, Benjamin Ong to Yayasan Raja Zarith Sofiah Negeri Johor’s Chief Executive Officer, Hishamuddin bin Abdul Rahim.
Flood Relief Fund
The donation will be distributed to 400 students who were affected by the recent flood in the form of cash vouchers. Each student will receive a RM200 voucher to be distributed by their respective schools to purchase school uniforms and stationeries.
Mah Sing’s Founder and Group Managing Director, Tan Sri Dato’ Sri Leong Hoy Kum said, “We are deeply saddened by the recent flood in Johor, and our thoughts are with the affected communities. As a socially responsible corporate citizen, Mah Sing has always been committed to supporting the underserved communities, especially in the areas of education, health and
wellbeing, and community development. We hope our contribution will help the students to resume their studies with the necessities after the disruption caused by the flood.”
