Former Prisoners Charged with 20 Robberies in Kelantan

Police arrested two former prisoners for 20 convenience store robberies in Kelantan. The suspects, aged 33 and 34, were arrested in Kampung Baung, Pengkalan Chepa. They were released from prison in April. Kelantan police chief Datuk Mohd Yusoff Mamat said the suspects targeted Kota Bharu, Tumpat, Pasir Mas, and Jeli, using tools like electric saws and oxy gas cutting torches.

Both tested positive for methamphetamine and were remanded for six days. The police are also searching for the mastermind, 26-year-old Muhammad Amir Izudin Mohd Izam. The case is being investigated under Section 457 of the Penal Code for burglary.
