Chiang Mai Nightmare
Upon arriving at the International Airport, Steven failed to appear as agreed, leading to an unnerving twist. A taxi driver and another individual, seemingly Myanmar nationals, forcibly took David and his companion at gunpoint, seizing their passports and mobile phones. They were then sold to a scam compound in Laukkaing, Myanmar, after an arduous four-day journey through remote mountainous routes.
