PAS information chief Ahmad Fadhli Shaari claimed that gay parties are now common in Kuala Lumpur, Johor Bahru, and Penang, citing recent police raids involving condoms, lubricants, and drugs. His comments followed a high-profile June raid in Kelantan where over 100 men were found at a bungalow gathering, with more than 20 arrested. Police said no sexual activity was occurring but preparations were evident. Fadhli praised Kelantan police and urged stricter state laws against LGBTQ activities despite Federal Court rulings limiting state jurisdiction on criminal offences. He called LGBTQ practices a “deviant culture” needing eradication through tougher legislation.
