Followers of GISB Holdings Sdn Bhd (GISBH) are reportedly unable to escape to neighboring Thailand due to their reliance on the organization’s leadership for financial support, particularly after the arrest of top leaders and the freezing of their accounts. Inspector-General of Police Tan Sri Razarudin Husain stated that GISBH followers lack the funds and resources necessary to flee and are currently in hiding within Malaysia. There is no evidence suggesting that followers are attempting to cross the border. Following police raids, many GISBH-affiliated businesses, including laundromats and restaurants, have changed their signage or ceased operations. The Kelantan Islamic Religious and Malay Customs Council (MAIK) is intensifying raids on these premises as investigations continue.
