1 min read

A key witness in the Penang undersea tunnel corruption trial testified that he personally handed two black bags containing RM2 million to former Penang Chief Minister Lim Guan Eng in 2017. Businessman G. Gnanaraja said he first received the cash from Consortium Zenith Construction director Zarul Ahmad Mohd Zulkifli, then delivered RM1 million to Lim at Publika, Hartamas, and another RM1 million at his own residence in Petaling Jaya. Gnanaraja described Lim accepting the bags with thanks and said the handovers followed private discussions about project financing arrangements.
