COVID-19 has ravaged many countries and forced many people to live on the edge, with many only having day-to-day expenses and zero savings.
News is half a million New Zealanders have no savings and that is 15% of the entire population but guess what, another 27% are worried about the level of their savings. It is depleting.
“Many people are struggling to put money away, with only one in four satisfied with their level of savings. Many are doing it tough – over the past three months, half of New Zealanders had saved 5% or less of their income. One in 10 respondents spent more than they saved, landing themselves in the red,” says a survey.
