Health Ministry Acts to Counter U.S. Tariff Challenges
With RM162.47 million worth of contracts expiring in 2026, the National Pharmaceutical Regulatory Agency (NPRA) will fast-track registration for generic products. Malaysia’s exports, including medical devices and pharmaceuticals, face rising costs due to tariff risks.
Dr Dzulkefly urged close monitoring and collaboration, emphasizing opportunities amidst challenges in securing affordable healthcare solutions.
