High Cost of Halal Certificates NOT True, Small Businesses Can Apply for RM100

HDC Berhad’s Chief Halal Consultant, Dhaliff G. Anuar, clarified that halal certification costs are low, starting at RM100 for small businesses. This has been a controversial topic between netizens and consumers alike as many are apparently uncomfortable patronising a non-Halal eatery.

Others state the previous connotations towards this certificate is that it’s expensive. They speculated that it would cost RM5,000 for a business to apply for this certificate, and many are not able to afford such a high amount.
