In the pre-dawn darkness of Jalan Mount Erskine, a factory van carrying eight weary workers suddenly skidded, spun violently, and slammed off the road. Metal twisted, glass shattered, and screams pierced the morning silence. Four women were pinned inside the wreckage, their cries growing weaker as blood pooled beneath them.
Horror on Mount Erskine
Firefighters raced against time, jaws of life tearing through steel to reach the trapped victims. By 7:17 am, all were freed, but hope faded fast—one woman, identity still unknown, lay lifeless at the scene. Seven others, aged 21 to 52, fought for survival with critical injuries. A routine commute to work had become a nightmare on the rain-slicked road. Police are investigating the deadly crash.
