Ikea Singapore has announced that they will drop the prices on 144 of their items. It appears that Singaporeans are also suffering from the global economic recessions as the brand states the people there are feeling the pinch. Furthermore, they also plan to reduce the prices on an additional 60 items.

Singaporean netizens state that they would prefer if the restaurant reduces its pricing as well. It seems that they too eat in Ikea restaurants just as much as Malaysians do. Is it a Southeast Asian thing? We’re still unclear if they will reduce their prices in Malaysia.
Some Malaysians state that Singaporeans would prefer shopping at their JB location instead. However, these jokes are common between Singaporeans and Malaysians as the currency in our country is much lower than theirs.
