‘I’m Singaporean’: TikTok CEO to Senator who grilled him about China now

TikTok’s Singaporean CEO Shou Zi Chew was getting grilled by Senator Tom Cotton repeatedly who was asking about his ties with China. He was also asked if he had ever belonged to the Chinese Communist Party during a hearing over alleged online harm to children. “Senator, I’m Singaporean,” he answered to the bemusement of the senator. Can they be that blur in the Senate now?
