Indonesia and Malaysia have joined other Muslim countries in condemning two politicians from India who made controversial remarks made against Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him). They say their remarks are disrespectful.
The entire Muslim world is waking up to the attacks against the religious figure of Islam. Indonesia and Malaysia are the latest to strongly condemn the Indians on this matter with Indonesia saying it informed the Indian ambassador in Jakarta about the comments made by Indian politicians Nupur Sharma and Naveen Kumar Jindal. Both are from the BJP government.
During a TV debate last Sunday, the spokeswoman allegedly insulted the prophet and his wife Aisha, while her colleague was reported to have posted a now-deleted tweet that caused outrage. The UAE, the Maldives, Jordan, Bahrain and Libya have joined Qatar, Kuwait, Iran, Saudi Arabia, Oman, and Afghanistan in the official protests to India.
