Local travellers and tourists will be allowed to cross states after the ban will be lifted when at least 90 per cent of its adult population are vaccinated against Covid-19. A full reopening of the economy is due end of Oct.
“We will allow tourism centres, islands (to reopen), and interstate travel with the condition of achieving 90 per cent adult vaccination according to Health Ministry’s data,” says PM Ismail Sabri Yaakob on Wednesday.
As of Tuesday, Malaysia had fully vaccinated 80 per cent of its adult population, or 57.5 per cent of the otal population.
