The police in JB are searching for three men suspected of attempting to abduct a seven-year-old Singapore permanent resident, a Chinese national, along Jalan Serampang, Johor. The main suspect, a 41-year-old car mechanic and business partner of the victim’s father, was arrested, and police believe he was the mastermind behind the plan to kidnap the child and demand RM300,000 ($85,000) as ransom.
