JetBlue Flights Makes Emergency Landing
JetBlue said Flight 543, an Airbus A320, returned to Newark Liberty International Airport shortly after takeoff due to an engine issue. The plane landed safely, and passengers and crew evacuated using emergency slides.
No injuries were reported. FlightRadar24 data showed the aircraft circling above Newark before returning about 20 minutes after departure. JetBlue confirmed it is working with federal authorities to investigate the incident, which echoes similar smoke-related emergencies in recent years.
