The Johor State Fatwa Committee has set zakat fitrah rates at RM7, RM12, and RM20 for this year, based on the type and grade of rice consumed.

RM7 is for local and broken rice, RM12 for imported white rice from Thailand, Pakistan, and Vietnam, and RM20 for basmathi, fragrant, and ponni rice. Payments can be made through authorised collectors, cash, QR code, mobile zakat counters, and MAINJ’s UTC counters.
Johor targets a collection of RM29 million this year from an estimated 2.51 million Muslim payers. The announcement was made at MAINJ’s 100th Anniversary Celebration.
