The Melaka Road Transport Department (JPJ) will intensify enforcement on overloaded heavy vehicles, a common violation that threatens road safety, said director Muhammad Firdaus Shariff. Special operations will target hotspots, and awareness programs will be organized.
JPJ Intensifies Crackdown on Overloaded Heavy Vehicles in Melaka
During a recent Chinese New Year operation, 2,419 vehicles were inspected, with 267 violations. JPJ issued 323 notices and seized six motorcycles. The most common violations were driving without a licence (94), lack of valid road tax and insurance (88), and technical violations (85).
