BUKIT MERTAJAM: The Penang Road Transport Department (JPJ) has seized 38 luxury vehicles worth over RM10 million in ‘Ops Luxury’ for lacking valid road tax and insurance. The cars, including Rolls Royce, Porsche, Ferrari, BMW, and Mercedes Benz, had unpaid road tax ranging from six months to over two years, totalling RM77,400. A Rolls Royce valued above RM3 million had the highest annual road tax at RM54,000, unpaid for a year. JPJ director Zulkifli Ismail said owners included businessmen, company directors, and professionals. The vehicles will be held until summonses are settled and documents renewed. Investigations are ongoing.
