The Kedah Road Transport Department (JPJ) confiscated a foreign vehicle after its driver failed to settle RM17,700 in fines over 12 years. Kedah JPJ director Stien Van Lutam revealed the man, in his 40s, had accumulated these fines since 2013.

The vehicle will remain confiscated until all fines are paid in full. This case involves the highest amount of outstanding fines JPJ has encountered. A total of 352 summonses have been issued against foreign vehicles. Kedah JPJ is focusing on nine major traffic offenses, including speeding, running red lights, and using mobile phones while driving.
