A photo of karipap pusing at a Ramadan bazaar has gone viral after netizens were shocked by its price — RM10 for four potato-filled pieces and RM10 for three egg-filled pieces.
RM10 Karipap at Ramadan Bazaar
The stall displayed clear signage, and while the karipap appeared larger and more artisanal, many Malaysians debated whether the cost was justified. Critics argued that traditional karipap usually sells for RM0.50–RM1.50 each, calling the bazaar prices “crazy expensive.”
Others are accusing the seller of selling re-heated frozen foods. They even claim that their offerings are “burnt.” Despite these comments, the sellers would also need to earn a living according to some, hence the higher than usual prices.
