The Kelantanese people have been receiving negative remarks from social media users in the last decade. However, it seems that such remarks have been intensified, and users are not too entirely keen with these remarks. For the most part, their support for PAS is what makes them the subject of jokes.
Kelantanese people face unfair stereotypes online
A recent post on X mocking them has resulted in others defending them. An X user states that their state is filled with crime and assault. However, another user responded stating that states like Selangor too have their very own problems. If one of our states is declining, we as Malaysians should show our concerns towards them, said the user.
Others state that mocking people who vote for PAS is one thing, but mocking an entire state is a whole other thing. Not everyone in said state behaves nor votes the same way.
