The idea of having congestion fees in Kuala Lumpur is vehemently unpopular among netizens. They state there are barely enough sidewalks in the country to begin with, and the public transportation system is barely accessible with low frequencies.

Others state that the development of public transportation in Malaysia is limited. Furthermore, the sales of Electric Vehicles appear to be priorities rather than trying to reduce the actual cars on the road. 

Additionally, netizens suggest that MRT stations should not rely on cars to quite literally get there. They add that this initiative feels like a quick cash grab rather than a concrete solution.
