The long-awaited Aerotrain service at Kuala Lumpur International Airport (KLIA) Terminal 1 will resume operations by early February 2025, says Transport Minister Anthony Loke. As part of Malaysia’s preparation as the ASEAN Chair, KLIA will see enhanced airport facilities.

MAHB will upgrade airport entry points, with VIP lounge renovations to be completed by 31 December. After the old system was suspended in March 2023, shuttle buses connected passengers. New trains will arrive from China in late 2024 for testing. Loke also highlighted the importance of protecting passenger rights under the revised MACPC.
