Keretapi Tanah Melayu Berhad (KTMB) introduced female-only coaches in 2010 to ensure the comfort and safety of female passengers. However, due to the upcoming Thaipusam celebrations, this arrangement will temporarily change.
KTMB Temporarily Lifts Female-Only Coach Rule for Thaipusam
KTMB announced that from February 9 to February 12, the enforcement of female-only coaches will not be implemented for KTM Komuter services in the Klang Valley.
Passengers can enjoy free Komuter rides on February 10 and 11, with additional train services provided. The Pelabuhan Klang – Tanjung Malim – Pelabuhan Klang route will run on a full schedule to ensure a seamless journey during Thaipusam.
