The Ministry of Entrepreneur Development and Cooperatives (KUSKOP) has allocated nearly RM417 million to support Indian entrepreneurs through loans, grants, and new financing schemes.

Deputy Minister Datuk Seri R. Ramanan said the funds back existing and upcoming initiatives under the 13th Malaysia Plan, such as BRIEF-i (RM50 million), i-BAP (RM6 million), and the PENN and SPUMI programmes.

For 2025, additional allocations of RM50 million each will go to BRIEF-i, SPUMI Goes Big, PENN, and a new Vanigham Financing scheme. Most initiatives target entrepreneurs beyond the B40 group. Programmes like PENN and SPUMI show strong repayment rates, with NPLs under 1%.
