Labuan Botanical Garden to Undergo RM5 Million Revamp

The Labuan Botanical Garden, a site rich in historical and ecological significance, will receive a RM5 million upgrade approved by the National Landscape Department. Labuan Corporation CEO Mohd Sukuran Taib said the revitalisation will enhance public amenities while preserving its heritage, with work starting in early 2026.

Labuan Botanical Garden to Undergo RM5 Million Revamp

Planned upgrades include improved tracks, repairs to the gazebo and guardhouse, and a new open wall for better visitor flow. Formerly the site of the 1852 Government House, the garden holds colonial history and ancient trees planted by Sir Hugh Low. Documentation and planning are underway, with completion expected by year-end.
