Liverpool is determined to retain Mohamed Salah during the current transfer window and won’t engage in discussions with Al-Ittihad, who seek to attract him to Saudi Arabia. Al-Ittihad had considered a £52 million bid for Salah and offered him a two-year contract worth £141 million.
Liverpool keeping Mo Salah?
The Saudi Pro League now plans to double that amount to persuade Salah, initiating talks before contacting Liverpool, with direct communication between Salah’s team and the club. Salah’s agent, Ramy Abbas Issa, recently affirmed Salah’s commitment to Liverpool, though any change of heart would require Salah to push for a transfer.
The Saudi transfer window closes on September 20, well after the Premier League’s September 1 deadline. Al-Ittihad has already made substantial signings, including Benzema, Kanté, and Jota this summer.
