KOTA TINGGI: A lorry driver was killed after being struck by his own vehicle when he reportedly forgot to engage the handbrake at his home in Jalan Delima, Felda Bukit Besar, yesterday. The victim, Mohd Rizwan Osman, 37, attempted to stop the moving Nissan Rigid Dumper manually shortly after breaking fast.
Lorry Driver DIES
Kota Tinggi police chief Superintendent Yusof Othman said the vehicle rolled forward and struck the victim, causing fatal internal injuries. Fire and Rescue personnel found him pinned under the one-ton lorry. He was pronounced dead at the scene. The case is being investigated under Section 41(1) of the Road Transport Act 1987.
